Year-Round Lifeguard – Part-Time
The City of Lancaster Parks & Recreation Department is seeking dependable and safety-minded individuals to join our team as Year-Round Lifeguards.
This part-time position is responsible for helping maintain a safe and welcoming aquatic environment by enforcing pool rules, identifying potential hazards, responding to emergencies, assisting with rescues, administering First Aid and CPR when needed, and providing excellent customer service to patrons. Additional duties include maintaining the cleanliness of pool and locker room areas, monitoring and recording chemical levels, completing required reports, participating in in-service training, and assisting with recreation programs and special events.
Prior work experience is not required. Experience through school, extracurricular activities, athletics, volunteer work, or community involvement is welcomed.
Lifeguard certification is not required at the time of hire. The City of Lancaster will assist selected candidates with obtaining the required American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification within the first three months of employment.
