Physical Therapist

A Physical Therapist at Little Peach Pediatric Therapy is primarily responsible for delivering high-quality, individualized therapy that helps children move, grow, and reach their fullest potential. This role brings clinical expertise and heartfelt care together: evaluating physical and developmental needs, building meaningful treatment plans, and showing up every day for the kids and families we serve. A DPT plays a central role in our multidisciplinary team, partnering alongside occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, and behavioral health providers to deliver whole-child care that actually moves the needle.

Our therapy team is the heartbeat of our clinic. Through your role of evaluating, treating, and collaborating, you'll directly shape the physical and developmental trajectories of children across Central Alabama. Every session, every goal, every home plan you send home is a ripple effect, and we can't wait to see the impact you'll make.

  • Collaborate with therapy team members to deliver cohesive, interdisciplinary care
  • Follow supervision guidelines and maintain clear communication with PTAs (if applicable)
  • Monitor client progress and facilitate appropriate discharge planning
  • Refer clients to additional professionals as clinically indicated
  • Complete documentation in a timely manner:

    • Goals: entered immediately following evaluation
    • Daily notes: due within 24 hours of the appointment
    • Discharges: due within 2 weeks of the last appointment
  • Tidy, disinfect, and maintain your treatment space and shared clinic areas between sessions
  • Supervise students and/or therapy assistants as applicable
  • Maintain your Alabama PT license and all continuing education requirements
  • Contribute to clinic growth initiatives during clinical development time, including content creation in partnership with our Marketing Manager, Teachers Pay Teachers materials, blog posts, family resources, and more
