Are you a compassionate clinician who enjoys working with children and adolescents and wants to make a difference where they spend much of their day? Valley Community Services Board (VCSB) is seeking a licensed or license-eligible clinician to provide school-based outpatient counseling to children and adolescents.
In this role, you’ll provide individual, group, and family counseling to students experiencing mental health, substance use, and co-occurring challenges. You’ll conduct clinical assessments, develop person-centered individualized service plans, monitor progress toward treatment goals, and coordinate care with families, schools, and other providers.
Working in the school setting gives you the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with students and families while helping young people access behavioral health support in an environment that is familiar and accessible to them. Licensed clinicians are preferred, and clinical supervision and continuing education are provided at no cost for those working toward licensure.

Starting pay of $50,000.00–$75,096.92 per year, dependent upon education and experience.
Non-licensed clinician: $50,000.00–$68,269.92
Licensed clinician: $55,000.00–$75,096.92
$2,500 sign-on bonus, included in full with your first paycheck.
Clinical supervision for licensure and continuing education provided at no cost.
Operates on a school calendar.
Health insurance starting as low as $40 per month for individual coverage, with family and dependent plans available.

What You'll Do
Provide individual, family, and group counseling to children and adolescents experiencing mental health, substance use, and co-occurring challenges.
Collaborate with school administration to identify appropriate referrals and connect with families to schedule intake appointments.
Maintain an average of 65% direct service, providing outpatient counseling at designated schools.
Conduct comprehensive intake assessments in accordance with Medicaid requirements and DBHDS guidelines.
Develop person-centered individualized service plans and provide services designed to support identified treatment goals.
Document client progress accurately and timely in accordance with agency, Medicaid, and regulatory requirements.
Coordinate services and communicate effectively with families, schools, and other providers involved in a student’s care.
Provide crisis stabilization and emergency services as needed and make referrals to Emergency Services when appropriate.
Maintain effective working relationships with students, families, coworkers, school personnel, and outside agencies based on courtesy, compassion, and respect.
Participate actively in peer, clinical, and administrative supervision.
Protect client rights and confidentiality and comply with applicable licensure, Medicaid, DBHDS, and agency requirements.
