Are you a compassionate behavioral health professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys helping people connect with the right care? Valley Community Services Board (VCSB) is seeking a dynamic clinician to join our Outpatient Services team.
In this role, you’ll provide same-day access (SDA) assessments, clinical screenings, and comprehensive evaluations to individuals seeking behavioral health services. You’ll use your clinical judgment and established assessment tools to determine appropriate levels of care, provide brief interventions and crisis support when needed, and connect individuals with the services and resources that best meet their needs.
You’ll collaborate closely with clinicians, case managers, support staff, and community providers to ensure individuals receive timely, coordinated care. This position offers opportunities to develop your clinical skills while making a meaningful difference at a critical point in someone’s behavioral health journey.

Starting pay of $55,124.93–$84,524.66 per year, dependent upon education and experience.
Non-licensed clinician: $55,124.93–$59,022.04
Licensed clinician: $60,637.42–$84,524.66
$2,500 sign-on bonus.

What You'll Do
Conduct same-day access assessments, screenings, and comprehensive clinical evaluations.
Use clinical tools, including ASAM criteria, screenings, and assessments, to determine the appropriate level of care.
Provide brief therapeutic interventions, crisis intervention, and safety planning during assessments when needed.
Connect individuals with appropriate VCSB programs and external providers based on their needs.
Develop initial treatment plans and service recommendations in accordance with Medicaid and regulatory requirements.
Coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams, including clinicians, case managers, and support staff.
Complete referrals for higher levels of care and clearly communicate clinical recommendations to providers.
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in the electronic health record.
Ensure services and documentation comply with DBHDS, DMAS/Medicaid, HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2, and agency requirements.
Participate in clinical supervision, trainings, team meetings, and quality improvement initiatives.
