We are currently seeking exceptional childcare professionals to provide afterschool care for families in Pittsburgh's East End and South Hills communities.

Position Overview

This role is ideal for college students pursuing degrees in Education, Nursing, Psychology, Social Work, Child Development, Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, or related fields who are looking for meaningful work that fits around their academic schedule.

Our afterschool sitters serve as trusted extensions of the families we support. We are looking for caregivers who are dependable, mature, professional, and genuinely passionate about working with children.

Responsibilities

• Pick up children from school and safely transport them home or to activities
• Provide attentive supervision and age-appropriate engagement
• Assist with homework and academic support
• Prepare simple snacks and meals as needed
• Facilitate creative play, outdoor activities, and enrichment opportunities
• Maintain open and professional communication with parents
• Follow family routines and childcare plans
• Ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times

Qualifications

Required:

• Minimum 2 years of childcare experience
• At least 18 years old
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Reliable transportation
• Ability to pass background screening and required clearances
• Strong references
• Non-smoker
• Reliable Transportation 

Preferred:

• Current Pediatric CPR and First Aid Certification
• Experience with children of varying ages and developmental needs
• Education, Nursing, Psychology, Social Work, or related major
