About Meet My Tutors
Meet My Tutors is a UK-based online education organisation providing high-quality, British-style private education to students aged 5–16 across the UK and internationally.
We work with students from a range of international backgrounds, particularly learners based in China, Singapore, and Hong Kong, including students who are learning English as a second language.
We are now looking for experienced and enthusiastic ESL Tutors to join our teaching team directly.
This is a tutoring position with Meet My Tutors, not an agent or recruitment-agent role. Successful applicants will deliver lessons directly to students through our online tutoring service.
About the Role
As an ESL Tutor, you will provide engaging, personalised online English lessons to international students aged 5–16.
You will help students improve their English language abilities, develop confidence, and achieve their academic and personal learning goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging online ESL lessons.
- Teach students aged 5–16 according to their individual ability and learning objectives.
- Adapt lessons, teaching methods, and resources to suit different learning needs.
- Develop students' reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills.
- Prepare students for English proficiency examinations where required, including IELTS and Cambridge exams.
- Monitor student development and provide constructive feedback.
- Maintain a positive, professional, and engaging online learning environment.
- Communicate professionally with the Meet My Tutors team regarding student progress and lesson requirements.
Requirements
- Previous experience teaching English as a Second Language (ESL).
- Experience teaching children and/or teenagers aged 5–16.
- Excellent spoken and written English.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A reliable internet connection and suitable online teaching setup.
- Professional, reliable, and committed approach to teaching.
- TEFL, TESOL, CELTA, or equivalent qualification preferred.
- A relevant degree is preferred but not essential.
- Experience with IELTS or Cambridge exam preparation is an advantage.
