Role Description:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

 

- Provide assistance to an assigned Athletics Department staff member with daily office operations, including answering phones, responding to inquiries, filing, copying, data entry, calendar assistance, and organizing departmental materials.
- Assist the staff member with projects and priorities related to their functional area, which may include student-athlete services, recruiting visits, compliance education, fundraising, marketing, communications, or community outreach.
- Help prepare materials, maintain inventory, organize supplies, and ensure office, facility, and event spaces are ready for meetings, practices, contests, and special events.
- Assist the athletic staff with the planning and execution of special events, including student-athlete recognition programs, alumni and donor events, campus outreach activities, and community engagement initiatives.
- Help with departmental communications by updating contact lists, preparing announcements, and assisting with promotional, graphic design or social media content as assigned.
- Serve as a welcoming and professional point of contact for student-athletes, coaches, officials, visiting teams, alumni, donors, and community members

 

Minimum Qualifications

 

- Must be currently enrolled and in good academic standing.
- Strong communication, customer service, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Dependability, professionalism, and attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and use sound judgment.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.
- Availability to work some evenings and weekends, especially during home athletic events.

 

Exceptions to the minimum eligibility qualifications may be granted at the sole discretion of the University.

Additional Information:

All work must be performed within the State of California.
