English Language Arts Teacher

English Language Arts Teacher – Part-Time

Motivating Minds Learning – Nonprofit Educational Organization
Part-Time | Flexible Schedule | Morning and/or Afternoon Opportunities

Motivating Minds Learning is seeking an energetic, creative, and engaging English Language Arts Teacher who enjoys working with children and believes learning should be more than worksheets and memorization.

Our goal is simple: help kids learn to love learning.

We are looking for someone who can connect with students, make reading and writing engaging, and turn everyday academic work into meaningful, hands-on learning experiences.

This is an excellent opportunity for a college student, recent graduate, aspiring teacher, or educator interested in English Language Arts, education, child development, psychology, communications, or a related field. We are especially interested in candidates who want to gain meaningful teaching experience while bringing their own creativity, interests, and ideas into the classroom.

What You'll Do

Help students build stronger skills in reading, writing, grammar, comprehension, and English Language Arts

Find creative ways to make homework and academic practice more engaging and enjoyable

Teach and facilitate small-group learning activities

Develop hands-on lessons, games, projects, and activities that reinforce academic concepts

Support students who need additional academic encouragement or individualized attention

Mentor students and help build confidence, curiosity, independence, and positive learning habits

Participate in our after-school enrichment programming

Develop and potentially lead enrichment classes based on your own talents, interests, or area of study

Collaborate with our mentors and educational team to create an environment where children are excited to learn

Who We're Looking For

You may be a great fit if you:

Genuinely enjoy working with children

Have strong English, reading, writing, and communication skills

Are energetic, patient, dependable, and positive

Can explain concepts in different ways when a student doesn't understand the first time

Enjoy creating interactive and hands-on learning experiences

Are comfortable working with students individually and in small groups

Take initiative and bring your own ideas into the classroom

Are interested in education, mentoring, child development, or working with young people

Want meaningful, hands-on experience rather than simply observing a classroom

Prior classroom experience is helpful, but we are also open to strong candidates who are beginning their careers in education and demonstrate the right combination of knowledge, creativity, reliability, and ability to connect with children.

Schedule

This is a part-time position with flexible scheduling.

Opportunities are available during our after-school programming as well as select morning hours. We can work around college course schedules for the right candidate.

Candidates with consistent weekly availability are preferred.

Compensation

Paid part-time position.

Compensation is based on experience, qualifications, responsibilities, and the classes or programs being taught.
