The role
Surgical Technologists are essential members of the operating room team. You're the one who makes sure every instrument is in its place, every field stays sterile, and the surgical team can move without interruption. Without that preparation, nothing else runs smoothly.
What you'll do
- Prepare and set up the operating room before each procedure — sterile instruments, equipment, and supplies laid out and ready.- Maintain sterile technique and enforce infection-control protocols throughout every case.- Pass instruments and supplies to surgeons and nurses during procedures, staying one step ahead of what's needed.- Prepare and position patients for surgery.- Assist with counts of instruments, sponges, and supplies to ensure nothing is left behind.- Handle and dispose of surgical specimens per facility policy.- Clean, disinfect, and restock the OR after procedures so the next case is ready to go.- Monitor surgical equipment and flag any issues with supplies or instrumentation.- Work alongside surgeons, nurses, anesthesia providers, and the broader surgical team — communication and reliability matter as much as technical skill.
About you
Required:- Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program- BLS/CPR certification- Solid working knowledge of sterile technique, surgical procedures, anatomy, and surgical instrumentation- Sharp attention to detail and the ability to stay focused when it counts
Nice to have:- CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) credential or equivalent certification
Where you'll work
