SAT Tutor

We are seeking an energetic and dedicated SAT Tutor to inspire and empower students preparing for the SAT. In this role, you will deliver engaging, targeted instruction to help students excel in math and English language arts, building their confidence and test-taking skills. As a vital part of our educational team, you will foster a positive learning environment, adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse student needs, and support students’ academic growth. Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive tutoring sessions focused on SAT test content, including math and English language arts to group sessions and 1-1.
• Must be available Saturdays 12:30 PM-3:30 PM In-Person at our location: 1729 East 16th Street Brooklyn NY 11229.
• Implement customized lesson plans that align with students’ individual learning styles and academic goals.
• Utilize effective teaching methods and learning technology to enhance student engagement and understanding.
• Assess student progress regularly through practice tests and formative assessments, providing constructive feedback.
• Manage classroom dynamics to create a supportive, inclusive environment conducive to learning.
• Collaborate with parents, guardians, or school staff to communicate student progress and address any challenges.
• Maintain detailed records of tutoring sessions, student achievements, and areas for improvement.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of SAT test content, especially in math and English language arts.
• Proven experience in tutoring or teaching, particularly with diverse student populations or in adult education settings.
• Excellent classroom management skills to foster a positive learning environment.
• Effective presentation skills to clearly explain complex concepts and motivate students.
• Experience working with students who have special education needs or require additional support.
