Senior Product Designer

Via

Senior Product Designer

About Via's Creative Studio

The Creative Studio shapes the way thousands of people interact with Via’s brand and resources every day. Through creative storytelling, you will get to design communication seen by different cultures around the world, with the goal of mobilizing believers to find their most strategic role in completing the Great Commission.

In the Creative Studio, we always have our eyes open to be inspired by new ideas. We believe the Holy Spirit is incredibly creative, and he speaks to us through what we see around us. We’re also never done learning; you will be honed and poured into by your teammates and further shaped by ongoing professional development. Our team’s skills span graphic design, web design, copywriting, video production, and brand thinking, all with the aim of stewarding our brand and developing resources.

The Opportunity

Your role is critical to helping every believer find their role in completing the Great Commission. As Senior Product Designer, your main responsibility will be shaping the experience of our users on digital platforms.

Key Responsibility Areas

Own and evolve Via’s design system

Working with the Creative Director, you’ll maintain, refine, and grow Via’s design system—the shared library of components, patterns, and tokens—ensuring it scales cleanly as new products and features are added rather than drifting into inconsistency.

Research and uncover user needs

You’ll dive deep into how real people experience our digital products—spotting structural issues, identifying moments of confusion or friction, and anticipating how users will naturally navigate. Through user interviews, observation, analytics, and heuristic reviews, you’ll surface insights that guide every design decision.

Design intuitive user flows and wireframes

With oversight from the Creative Director, you’ll shape the backbone of our digital experiences by mapping page flows, crafting clear information architecture, and building wireframes that show how users will move through websites and apps. Your work ensures our products feel purposeful, logical, and easy to use.

Create polished, development-ready user interfaces

You'll translate strategy and structure into beautiful, high-fidelity layouts that are visually cohesive, accessible, and a joy to interact with—working within the Creative Director's oversight.

Test, validate, and QA digital experiences

You’ll ensure the final product matches the vision. That includes reviewing builds for visual accuracy, interaction fidelity, and usability; identifying bugs or inconsistencies; and partnering with Development to resolve them. You’ll also run A/B tests and gather user feedback to validate ideas and guide future iterations.

Collaborate closely with MarCom and Tech

You’ll work hand-in-hand with MarCom to shape the content and user flow, and with Tech to determine the technology stack and development process. Under the Creative Director’s oversight, you’ll communicate clearly, organize file handoffs, and proactively problem-solve within Via.

Create visual assets for cross-functional initiatives

At times, you'll create designs that support projects with MarCom and Tech. From web graphics for events to email assets for marketing campaigns, your visuals will help shape memorable, engaging touchpoints across Via’s digital landscape—making each interaction feel inviting and distinctly Via.

Support the skill development of other designers

As you work, you’ll share your UX/UI knowledge with teammates who are still finding their footing in the digital world. You’ll help demystify the tools, the thinking, and the magic behind making delightful user experiences together.

Via is a non-denominational Christian ministry, and we have a discernment process with every potential Via staff member to ensure we align in our Theology, Vision, and Values before we ever look at whether someone is the right fit for the specific role. Learn more about our Statement of Faith along with our Mission, Vision, and Values.

Pursuant to the Civil Rights Act of 1964, Section 702 (42 U.S.C. 2000e I(a)), Via has the right to, and does, hire only applicants who agree with Via’s Statement of Faith, Mission alignment, and conduct themselves in accordance with our religious beliefs.

Compensation: We have healthy salaries to ensure our staff and their family thrive now and in the future, but salary ranges are established on needs-based factors such as whether you’re single or married, your age, and ministry location. This is different from the corporate world, but normal in the missions world. Most staff also are trained and expected to mobilize a team of ministry partners to provide the finances to cover their compensation and personal ministry expenses. This helps mobilize more people to join us in God’s global mission and our ministry, allows Via to grow exponentially as God brings the workers, and provides you with a team of people who partner with you in prayer and are invested in your work. We’re also  the world’s leading ministry in equipping ministry workers in personal support raising, so we’ll provide you with the training, coaching, and resources you need. Check out two of our resources: What is Personal Support Raising and 5 Keys to Personal Support Raising.

Insurance: We have group health insurance through United Healthcare, Long-term disability insurance, plus optional vision and dental insurance.

Time Off: 10 paid holidays and 15 vacation days annually

Development: 1 monthly day of prayer, reflection, and planning. Personal and professional development opportunities are offered by Via to help you grow spiritually, missionally, and professionally.

Retirement: All staff are encouraged to utilize our 403(b) retirement investment opportunity.
