Student Research Assistant (Arabic) - TLD Lab
The Teaching, Learning & Development (TLD) Lab at NYU Abu Dhabi, led by Associate Professor of Psychology Antje von Suchodoletz, is seeking motivated NYU Abu Dhabi undergraduate students to join the lab as Student Research Assistants during the 2026-2027 academic year.
This position provides students with the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in developmental psychology research while contributing to ongoing projects investigating children's learning, development, and caregiver-child interactions. Research assistants will work closely with faculty and the TLD Lab research team and receive training in a variety of research methods.
Responsibilities may include:
- Conducting behavioral data collection with children and caregivers (Arabic fluency required for some projects)
- Coding video-recorded caregiver-child interactions and interview data (Arabic fluency required for some projects)
- Transcribing caregiver-child interactions and caregiver interviews (Arabic fluency required for some projects)
- ECG data cleaning and preliminary analysis
- Data entry and management (Excel proficiency required)
- Conducting literature reviews
- Preparing tables, figures, and research presentations
- Supporting research dissemination initiatives, including podcast production
Preferred Qualifications:
- Current NYU Abu Dhabi undergraduate student
- Available for both Fall & Spring
- Interest in psychology, education, child development, or related fields
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
