Patrol Officer

## Patrol Officer**New Boston, New Hampshire | Full-Time | On-Site**

The New Boston Police Department is looking for a Patrol Officer to serve and protect the residents of our community. This is frontline law enforcement work — responding to calls, enforcing laws, and building trust with the public every shift.

### What you'll do

- Patrol assigned areas by vehicle and on foot to deter crime and respond to incidents- Respond to emergency and non-emergency calls for service- Conduct investigations, gather evidence, and write accurate, detailed reports- Make arrests and process individuals according to established procedures- Testify in court as required- Assist motorists, direct traffic, and enforce motor vehicle laws- Collaborate with fellow officers and community members to address public safety concerns

### Requirements

- High School Diploma or equivalent- Valid Driver's License from state of residence- U.S. citizenship- At least 21 years of age- Vision correctable to 20/20 (minimum uncorrected 20/80); normal color vision and depth perception- Good hearing; no physical disability that would prevent performing essential patrol officer duties

### Disqualifying factors

Applicants will not be considered if they:

- Have any felony or misdemeanor conviction- Have an extensive motor vehicle record indicating disregard for the law- Were dishonorably discharged from military service, or discharged from employment under circumstances casting doubt on fitness to serve as a police officer- Committed any misdemeanor or felony within two years prior to application- Used marijuana within 12 months prior to application- Illegally used any controlled substance other than marijuana within 36 months prior to application- Have ever illegally manufactured, transported for sale, or sold a controlled substance
