The Role

As an Engineering Intern, you’ll gain hands-on experience contributing to real projects in a fast-paced education technology environment. Depending on team needs and your interests, you may work alongside Product Engineering, Platform Engineering, Data Engineering, or other technical teams.

You’ll receive mentorship, contribute to scoped projects, and build technical and professional skills through meaningful work and intentional internship programming.

What You’ll Do

Contribute to software, data, or technical projects that support Apptegy’s products and internal systems.

Write, test, troubleshoot, and improve code or technical solutions with guidance from experienced engineers.

Collaborate with engineers and cross-functional teammates to understand requirements and deliver high-quality work.

Learn Apptegy’s products, tools, development practices, and engineering processes.

Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, team meetings, and other opportunities to learn from experienced professionals.

Document your work and communicate project updates clearly.

Focus on efficiency, quality, continuous improvement, and thoughtful problem-solving.

Participate in mentorship, leadership development, professional development sessions, and intern programming.

Who You Are

A rising junior currently enrolled in a four-year undergraduate degree program and in good standing at an accredited college or university.

Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

Curious, resourceful, and interested in learning how technology can improve education.

Familiar with at least one programming language, technical tool, or data technology through coursework, projects, work experience, or independent learning.

Able to work 40 hours per week for the full internship program.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Able to communicate clearly and collaborate effectively with others.

Motivated to do your best work and contribute to a thoughtful, high-performing team.
