Chemical Engineering Intern
We are seeking a Temporary Chemical Engineering Intern who will work onsite to assist the Chemical Engineering team with many tasks for our high purity chemical plant. Will be responsible for making corrections based on red lines, verifying as-built drawings and creating drawings from varying engineering descriptions. This is a great opportunity to gain practical hands-on engineering on-the-job experience. This position may lead to a full-time regular position when internship ends.
Responsibilities:
- Draft simple to complex isometric drawings
- Make accurate field measurements and transfer them to engineering drawings
- P&ID’s (piping and instrumentation diagrams)
- Perform Basic Calculations
- Work closely with and assist Engineers
- Learn chemistry and chemical engineering and instrumentation through work assignments
Qualifications
- We are looking for ambitious students that will be graduating at the end of 2026 or recent graduates with a chemical engineering degree, or equivalent.
- 1 to 2 years AutoCad (or equivalent) experience preferred
- Written and verbal communications, fluency in English
- Basic Math (Geometry/Algebra) required
- Problem solving and creative thinking skills
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office software programs and proven aptitude and ability to master computer software
- Experience with Autodesk inventor, Revit, and Solid Works preferred
- Knowledge of liquid/gas dynamics (pressure, flow, temperature, and how they interact with each other)
