AI & Web Development Intern (Remote or Medellín, Colombia)

 

Work directly with the founders of three live brands, building and shipping with a current AI stack — Cursor, v0, Codex, GitHub, Vercel. You'll be improving real products used by real people, not shadowing someone. Optionally, spend the semester living in Medellín.

 

Spanglish Events produces bilingual social and cultural experiences in Medellín. We're also building two more platforms: PachamamaCO.co (eco-tourism and retreats) and Renova.living (medical concierge and wellness).

 

Optional: do your internship abroad in Medellín

 

Interns can complete this role remotely from anywhere, or come to Medellín and do it in person. Interns who come live in one of Latin America's most dynamic cities, study Spanish alongside the internship, join our events and community, and build an international network. Most interns work remotely — the Medellín option is there if you want it.

 

Details

  • Type: Internship, one full semester (~4 months). Fall, spring, and summer cycles.
  • - Location: Remote, or on-site in Medellín, Colombia (your choice)
  • - Schedule: 20–40 hrs/week
  • - Language: English required, Spanish a plus
  • - Compensation: Unpaid; a stipend is available on a case-by-case basis
  • - Requirement: Must be eligible to receive academic credit

What you'll do

  • Build and improve features across three live websites
  • - Front-end work: design, layout, responsiveness, UX/UI
  • - QA on user experience, event listings, and formatting
  • - Improve internal systems for event entry and content workflows
  • - Find and fix what's slow, broken, or confusing

What you'll use

AI-assisted development (Cursor, v0, Codex), GitHub, Vercel, and optionally Supabase. If you've been wanting to build seriously with AI tools instead of just experimenting with them, this is that.

 

Who this is for

Students or recent grads in web development, product, UX/UI, or AI tooling. You should be comfortable figuring things out on your own and shipping without much hand-holding.

A note on compensation: This internship is unpaid, though we offer a limited stipend case-by-case for interns with financial need or whose program requires it. For in-person interns, housing, flights, food, visas, insurance, and living expenses are your responsibility.
