Job Overview
As the Travel Day Camp Leader you will directly lead a team of counselors to go out into the communities of Pennsylvania to bring our ministry to them.
Responsibilities
- Lead your team effectively to have a successful Summer
- Work with volunteers of local churches to make them involved in the program.
- Maintain strict confidentiality with churches regarding financial information and health information
- Driving your team with a trailer of program equipment to the site
- Learn how to properly operate our adventure activities
- Work with the program director and executive director to improve the travel day camp experience throughout the Summer
- Uphold camps mission to provide a Christian centered program
- Attend two week Summer staff training
- Filling in when necessary at camp
Qualifications
- Take initiative in your work
- Detail oriented
- Foundational knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Google Drive
- Exhibit Christlike behavior and professionalism through all your interactions
- Ability to learn how to drive with a trailer
- Ability to learn how to facilitate our Adventure course
- Ability to learn how to be a Lifeguard
- Able to maintain strict confidentiality in areas of finance and health information
- Skilled in written and verbal communication
Education and Experience
- I minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent, relevant experience in summer camp ministry
Compensation Structure
- This is a seasonal summer camp position and paychecks will come twice a month
