River Journey Education Internship

Are you a bilingual student who enjoys working with kids and being outside? Join our team and be part of a new education program! This program takes groups of multilingual students on a journey through the Skagit Watershed, from the mountains to the sea. Through this internship you will help teach these students, in Spanish and English, about salmon and their habitat. You will participate in a series of field trips during the school day including rafting the Skagit River, an overnight adventure with North Cascades Institute, and stream exploration close to home in Mount Vernon city parks, and learn about marine life with the Salish Sea School.

Este programa lleva a grupos de estudiantes multilingües a un recorrido por la cuenca del río Skagit, desde las montañas hasta el mar. A través de esta pasantía, ayudarás a enseñar a estos estudiantes, en español e inglés, sobre el salmón y su hábitat. Participarás en una serie de excursiones durante el horario escolar, que incluyen un descenso en la balsa(rafting) por el río Skagit, una aventura de unas noches con el North Cascades Institute, la exploración de arroyos cerca de casa, en los parques de la ciudad de Mount Vernon y aprendizaje sobre la vida marina con The Salish Sea School.
