Position Summary

Ethox Chemicals is seeking an energetic, customer-focused Inside Sales Representative to support and grow our commercial organization. This position is ideal for an early-career sales professional with experience in the chemical industry who is looking to build a long-term career in commercial leadership.

The Inside Sales Representative will be responsible for managing customer relationships, supporting accounts, coordinating commercial activities, and driving profitable growth across assigned customers. Working closely with external sales management, technical teams, customer service, and operations, this individual will play a critical role in delivering exceptional customer experiences and identifying new business opportunities.

This role is designed as a development position with a clear pathway into future opportunities such as Account Manager or Business Unit Manager.

Duties and Responsibilities

Sales & Account Support

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers through regular communication and proactive account management.
  • Respond to customer inquiries, prepare quotations, and manage the sales pipeline through CRM and internal systems.
  • Partner with external sales personnel to support strategic accounts and growth initiatives.
  • Assist in developing and executing account plans to increase sales and customer retention.
  • Identify opportunities for cross-selling, upselling, and new product introductions.

Customer Relationship Management

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for assigned customers and prospects.
  • Ensure timely resolution of customer concerns by coordinating with technical, production, logistics, and customer service teams.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of customer applications, markets, and business needs.
  • Deliver exceptional service while strengthening long-term customer partnerships.

Professional Development

  • Participate in customer visits, industry conferences, and trade shows.
  • Develop technical knowledge of Ethox products, manufacturing processes, and target markets.
  • Collaborate with business leaders to gain exposure to broader commercial and operational responsibilities.
  • Actively pursue learning opportunities that support long-term advancement into field sales and business management roles.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Business, Marketing, or related field required.
  • Previous experience in account management, technical sales, customer service, or the chemical/manufacturing industry preferred.
  • Understanding of chemical manufacturing processes, industrial markets, or technical products preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills with a customer-first mindset.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 Suite and CRM platforms 
  • Demonstrated initiative, curiosity, problem-solving ability, and desire for continued professional development.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment and build relationships across all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to utilize conflict resolution skills to manage and resolve internal conflicts within the service and sales teams as well as professionally address customer issues and complaints.
