Digital Marketing Intern

Ominira Therapy | Paid 8-Week Internship | $18/hour | 5 hours/week

Ominira Therapy is seeking a creative, self-directed student for an 8-week paid internship focused on strengthening the digital presence of a growing mental health private practice.

This is a hands-on opportunity. The intern will not simply audit Ominira Therapy’s digital presence or provide recommendations. They will collaborate directly with the practice owner to create, revise, and implement client-facing content and digital marketing materials across the practice’s website, therapist directories, and other online platforms.

The internship is approximately 5 hours per week for 8 weeks (40 hours total) and pays $18 per hour.

What You’ll Do

  • Rewrite and optimize Ominira Therapy’s Psychology Today profile, including therapist introduction, specialties, treatment approaches, and other client-facing messaging
  • Review, revise, and standardize profiles across additional therapist directories and digital platforms
  • Create and revise website copy, including About/Bio content, service descriptions, specialty pages, FAQs, calls to action, and other client-facing materials
  • Work within the practice’s existing Showit and WordPress website environment to implement approved content and updates
  • Apply foundational SEO principles to website and directory content to support search visibility
  • Help translate the practice owner’s clinical expertise, personality, services, and intended clientele into accessible and engaging messaging
  • Evaluate the prospective client journey from discovering the practice online through requesting a consultation or appointment
  • Research comparable mental health practices, market positioning, and opportunities for differentiation
  • Identify gaps in the practice’s existing digital presence and create content or solutions to address them
  • Strengthen consistency in voice, messaging, branding, and user experience across platforms
  • Collaborate directly with the practice owner throughout brainstorming, development, implementation, and revision

Who We’re Looking For

This opportunity may be especially relevant to students studying marketing, advertising, communications, journalism, public relations, digital media, UX/content strategy, business, or a related field.

Strong candidates will have:

  • Excellent written communication and copywriting skills
  • Creativity and an interest in branding and digital communication
  • Strong attention to detail
  • The ability to take ideas, conversations, and rough concepts and transform them into polished content
  • Comfort working independently within defined projects and deadlines
  • Willingness to receive feedback and revise work collaboratively
  • An interest in digital marketing, consumer behavior, SEO, user experience, or service-based businesses

Experience with Showit, WordPress, SEO, website content management, or digital marketing tools is helpful but not required.

Prior experience in mental health or healthcare is not required.

Internship Structure & Professional Development

This internship is intentionally designed to provide both meaningful professional experience and tangible work products.

Throughout the eight-week experience, the intern will receive direct mentorship and feedback from the practice owner while taking ownership of defined digital marketing and content projects.

Ominira Therapy will support the intern in translating completed projects into portfolio-ready work and résumé experience, including identifying appropriate project descriptions, outcomes, and skills demonstrated through the internship.

Upon successful completion, the intern will also be eligible for a professional letter of recommendation and may use the practice owner as a professional reference.

The goal is for the intern to leave the experience with demonstrable experience in copywriting, content strategy, SEO, digital marketing, brand development, website content management, and user experience, alongside completed work they can discuss with future employers.
