Responsible Gambling Research and Project Manager
JOB POSTING: RESPONSIBLE GAMBLING RESEARCH AND PROJECT MANAGER
The Illinois Gaming Board (IGB) is looking to fill its newly established Responsible Gambling Research and Project Manager position. The IGB is the regulatory and law enforcement agency that oversees all licensed casino gambling, sports wagering, and video (slot machine) gaming in Illinois. Our mission is to protect the safety and integrity of Illinois gaming while generating tax revenue for the State and local communities.
The Responsible Gambling Research and Project Manager will work collaboratively to further advance the IGB’s development and implementation of effective, impactful, and innovative responsible gambling initiatives and policies. This position will be the agency’s subject matter expert in this field and will serve as the statewide point of contact for responsible gaming. The Responsible Gambling Research and Project Manager will play a leading role in responsible gaming policy analysis, formation, and implementation in Illinois.
The Responsible Gaming Research and Project Manager will help design and conduct responsible gambling research, lead and coordinate responsible gaming initiatives, and plan and develop public awareness and education campaigns to promote responsible gaming. The Manager will also collaborate with problem gaming service providers and advocates, regulatory bodies and government officials in Illinois and gaming jurisdictions across the United States and internationally, as well as academics, researchers, IGB licensees, and other stakeholders. The position will support the IGB’s work to effectuate change through legislation and the administrative rulemaking process in Illinois. Beyond matters directly involving responsible gaming, the position will work closely with senior agency leadership to plan and develop special programs and projects that support the broader programs and mission of the IGB.
Minimum Requirements
• Knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of four years of college, preferably with courses in Political Science, Economics, Communications, or International Relations.
• Three (3) years of responsible administrative experience in a public or business organization.

• Hybrid schedule - subject to successful completion of the probationary period; combined weekly in-office and remote work available.
Salary: $102,852-$113,004; salary commensurate with experience.
