Afterschool Program Leader

Coordinate, plan, and supervise activities for children in grades 1st – 5th in the areas of arts & crafts, sports, games and special events. Maintain participant and program records. Maintain rapport with participants and their families. Organize supplies and materials. Experience supervising children and willingness to participate in, and lead gym activities a must.


QUALIFICATIONS: 18 years or older, High School Diploma and experience working with children under 13 years of age. CPR/AED & First Aid Certification preferred.
Some college experience preferred.


Locations: Council Rock Primary School, 600 Grosvenor Rd, Rochester, NY 14610
And Brookside Recreation Center, 1666 S. Winton Rd, Rochester, NY 14618


Hours/Schedule: Two - five days a week, Mondays – Fridays; 2:15 - 6:00 pm when school is in session. We can be flexible with your class schedule and optional extra hours are also available on school days off.


Several hours of paid online and in person training will be scheduled after hire.


This part-time position offers consistent hours, friendly staff, and a great opportunity for an individual to assist with a quality recreation experience for youth. Great job for a college student or a retiree!


ALL STAFF: Upon hire must successfully complete background check, tuberculosis test (TB), finger printing and additional training hours as required by NYS. This is a NYS licensed Afterschool Program


Salary: $17.46 - 20.51/hour depending on experience
