Immigration Law Intern

POSITION:  Immigration Law Intern (College Students) 

WORK SETTING: Alabama’s largest immigration law firm, recognized for its innovative solutions and client-centered practice. With offices located in the Birmingham and Huntsville areas, the firm is dedicated to serving the immigrant community across the region. 

IDEAL CANDIDATE: Well-organized individual with strong communication skills, who is eager to learn, speaks Spanish, and is interested in working with the immigrant community. 

HOURS: Flexible hours in-person 

OFFICE LOCATION: Birmingham

PRIMARY ACTIVITIES AND TASKS:  

-Support paralegals and attorneys with case management and client file organization 

-Assist in preparing documents and forms for immigration filings 
-Meet with clients to collect documents and relevant case information 
-Participate in community outreach and educational workshops 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  

-Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university 

-Bilingual preferred (Spanish/English) 

-Strong organization and communication skills 
-Enthusiastic about supporting our team goals and client needs 

-Proficiency in Microsoft Office 

-Prior knowledge of or experience in immigration law or working with the immigrant community is a plus 

PAY:  Hourly pay commensurate with experience; opportunity for learning and development in a legal setting.
