Studio Intern

STUDIO INTERN | FALL 2026

Role Overview:

The Three Times Louder Studio Intern will play a key role in the day-to-day operation of our recording studio, ensuring sessions run smoothly while supporting artists, producers, and engineers throughout the creative process. This role is designed for candidates with a strong foundation in audio engineering or studio operations who are looking to gain hands-on experience in a professional recording environment. The Studio Intern will assist with session setup, equipment maintenance, studio management, and engineering responsibilities while learning the workflow behind artist development and high-level recording sessions.

This internship is paid, 3-4 few days a week, and in-person at our Brooklyn office. Beginning in September and running until December (with breaks for Midterms and Finals if applicable). 

Key Responsibilities:

• Open, maintain, and close the recording studio on assigned days, ensuring all rooms are clean, organized, and session-ready.
• Help coordinate studio sessions by managing bookings, preparing rooms, and supporting artists, producers, and engineers throughout the day.
• Maintain a thorough working knowledge of all studio equipment, troubleshooting technical issues as they arise.
• Assist with recording sessions by setting up microphones, signal flow, headphone mixes, session templates, and other engineering tasks, with opportunities to run engineering duties during sessions when appropriate.
• Attend weekly studio meetings and communicate effectively with the team regarding scheduling, technical needs, and ongoing projects.
• Support sessions involving both emerging and established artists with professionalism, discretion, and respect for the creative process.

Qualifications:

• Prior experience in audio engineering or recording studio operations.
• Active pursuit of a degree in Audio Engineering, Sound Design, Music Production, or a related field or demonstrated hands-on experience in a professional or project studio.
• Working knowledge of industry-standard recording software (such as Pro Tools or Logic Pro), studio signal flow, microphone techniques, and recording fundamentals.
• Strong technical troubleshooting skills and confidence operating professional recording equipment.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple sessions and responsibilities in a fast-paced creative environment.
