Trade Marketing Intern

Today, the company has 7 production plants that produce food in 20 different categories and distributes to over 70 countries around the world.
Our Trade Marketing Internship Program combines knowledge and hands-on experience in our Marketing department, Sales and Accounting department. Through regular communication with our Colombian colleagues located in our HQ, this program offers international business exposure in a professional and friendly environment.
The intern’s responsibilities consist of:
• Developing mockups and coordinating new samples (mockups assembly and shipments).
• Support our sales team with activities such as ordering of materials and sending materials through couriers.
• Maintain an inventory management system for samples and pop material room.
• Develop a systematic price check information (competitor & our brands) to maintain an updated database.
• Maintain the marketing documents in the company SharePoint site with up-to-date information published.
• Collaborating with staff on new ideas, directions, and venues for marketing and communications.
• Create data and market analysis report for sales department.
• Other responsibilities as assigned by the Trade Marketing Department.
• Support the AMP control by processing monthly payments.
• Keep track of demos in different retail stores updating the demos report and prepare power point presentations of the demos.
Requirements:
• Pursing a degree in one or more of the following fields: Marketing, Business/International business, Logistics, Finance and or related fields
• Must be bilingual, written, and verbal communication in both English and Spanish.
• Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
• Performs a variety of tasks, problem solving and critical thinking skills.
• Must be organized and efficient.
• Be able to multitask and have the availability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook and ability to navigate the web.
Learning Outcomes:
The intern will be mentored by our Marketing Executives, professionals with expertise and educational and/or professional background in the field of the experience.

• Participate in continuous improvement projects leading to increased operational efficiency. The student will have a better understanding on day-to-day business operations.
• Apply the knowledge gained in the classroom to practical real-life situations integrating theory and practice.

• Acquire employment contacts leading to a possible full-time job following graduation from college.
• The skills and knowledge learned will be transferable to other employment settings.
