Licensed Massage Therapist
Full-Time Licensed Massage Therapist
Location: Milwaukee, WI
Starting Salary: $60,000 per year
Schedule: Four clinic days and a minimum of one on-site corporate wellness day per week
About May One
May One is a sports medicine and wellness clinic located on Milwaukee’s East Side. Our mission is to transform the way people care for their bodies by making proactive, high-quality care a regular part of their lives.
We work with active adults, athletes, busy professionals, and individuals navigating pain or movement limitations. Our approach combines therapeutic bodywork, injury care, recovery, strength, and mobility support to help our clients feel better, move better, and continue doing the things they love—with a focus on long-term health.
We’re looking for a full-time Licensed Massage Therapist who shares our philosophy, wants to build a lasting career with our team, and is excited to contribute to the continued growth of our clinic.
About the Position
This position includes four days of massage therapy in our clinic and a minimum of one day each week providing on-site services for one of our corporate wellness partners.
You’ll work with a diverse client base and provide thoughtful, individualized care rather than rushed or one-size-fits-all treatments. We’re looking for someone who enjoys building relationships with clients, takes pride in their work, and wants to continue developing their clinical skills.
Responsibilities
- Provide sports, recovery, deep-tissue, and prenatal massage.
- Support clients experiencing muscular tension, chronic pain, injuries, or movement restrictions.
- Incorporate cupping and other techniques when appropriate.
- Take the time to understand each client’s needs and tailor sessions to their individual goals.
- Educate clients about recovery, maintenance, and proactive body care.
- Collaborate with our sports medicine providers when a team-based approach would benefit the client.
- Provide chair massage and other wellness services at local corporate sites and events.
- Maintain clear, timely, and accurate client documentation.
- Assist with client check-in and check-out at the front desk as needed.
- Participate in routine cleaning and shared facility responsibilities to maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment.
Who We’re Looking For
You may be a great fit if you:
- Hold an active Wisconsin Massage Therapist license.
- Are comfortable providing deep-tissue and sports massage, which is essential for this role.
- Thrive in a clinical setting focused on thoughtful, individualized care.
- Have experience with prenatal massage and cupping, although training can be provided.
- Are warm, professional, dependable, and confident when communicating with clients.
- Enjoy building lasting client relationships.
- Are excited to learn and grow within a collaborative clinic.
- Are available to work weekdays and Saturdays, with Sundays off.
- Can travel locally and have reliable transportation for corporate wellness services.
Two or more years of professional massage therapy experience is preferred. Experience working in a clinical setting is a plus.
Compensation and Benefits
- Starting salary of $60,000 per year.
- Consistent, predictable compensation through our gratuity-free model.
- Two weeks of paid time off.
- Paid sick leave.
- $500 annual continuing education stipend.
- Professional dues and licensure expenses covered.
- Sundays off.
- Ongoing mentorship and professional development.
- Training in specialized techniques and clinical approaches.
- Opportunities for increased responsibility and compensation as you grow.
- A varied schedule that includes both in-clinic and corporate wellness work.
- A supportive team that values collaboration, communication, and excellent care.
- The opportunity to help shape the continued growth of May One’s massage therapy program.
A Different Approach to Compensation
May One is proudly gratuity-free. We believe massage therapy is skilled professional care and that your income should not depend on tips or fluctuate from week to week.
Our salaried model is designed to provide greater consistency and stability while creating opportunities for professional and financial growth. It also allows our clients to focus entirely on their care without the pressure or uncertainty of gratuity.
How to Apply
Please submit your resume along with a brief message introducing yourself. We’d love to hear about your experience, your approach to client care, and what interests you about joining May One.
We look forward to getting to know you.
