Financial Analytics Co-op/Intern
The TECO Peoples Gas Internship & Cooperative Education Program offers college degree-seeking students the opportunity for professional growth while meeting the business needs of the company. The program is an extension of the educational process, providing practical experience to complement formal classroom work. The co-op program recruits students from colleges to give them an opportunity to work in a professional environment related to their field of study.
Accountabilities: As a successful candidate for our Co-op or Internship-Financial Analytics, you would:
- Generates financial results by modeling project inputs into all PGS business financial models. This requires coordination between Engineering, Sales & Marketing, and Business Development to ensure accurate financial modeling.
- Assist with maintaining and enhancing PGS’s financial assumptions/processes and the deployment of models.
- Gathers and maintains needed sources of information necessary to support modeling, analysis, Sales, and decision-making activities.
- Prepare charts, graphs, presentations, and summaries as needed in support of project feasibilities and strategic business objectives.
- Assists with ad-hoc strategic analysis as needed.
Education/Certification/GPA: The successful applicant should be in their second, third or fourth year of an ABET accredited university or college undergraduate or a graduate level post-secondary educational program in a related discipline. A minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale is required. To qualify as a co-op student, enrollment in the university’s co-op program is a must.

WORKING CONDITIONS
Mostly in a normal office environment
The successful applicant will be required to take and pass a Baseline Medical Examination as part of the pre-employment screening once an offer has been accepted. A pre-employment drug screening, as well as a background check (including education, employment, criminal and motor vehicle) will also be conducted as part of the pre-employment screening.
