Information/Privacy Analyst

We are seeking an Information/Privacy Analyst to support the organization's information governance and privacy compliance initiatives. This role is responsible for protecting sensitive information, assisting with regulatory compliance, conducting privacy assessments, and ensuring organizational policies align with applicable privacy laws and industry standards.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor compliance with organizational privacy and information security policies.
  • Conduct privacy impact assessments and risk assessments.
  • Assist with investigations involving data privacy incidents and policy violations.
  • Review business processes to ensure compliance with privacy regulations.
  • Maintain privacy documentation, procedures, and compliance records.
  • Collaborate with legal, IT, cybersecurity, and business stakeholders on privacy initiatives.
  • Assist with developing and delivering privacy awareness training.
  • Support audits and regulatory reviews related to information privacy.
  • Monitor evolving privacy laws and recommend policy updates.

 

Required Skills & Knowledge

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related technical discipline.
  • Relevant professional experience in information privacy, compliance or a related field.
  • Understanding of privacy principles and information governance.
  • Knowledge of data protection regulations and industry best practice.
  • Experience conducting risk assessments and compliance reviews.
  • Strong analytical, documentation, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with privacy frameworks and compliance standards.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity principles and risk management.
  • Professional certifications such as CIPP, CIPM, Security+, or similar are a plus.
  • Experience supporting audit and compliance activities.
