About the Role
Want to help build one of the fastest-growing brands in education?
This role is for someone who understands what keeps viewers watching—not just how to edit video. You'll work directly with our marketing team to transform podcasts, interviews, documentaries, and educational conversations into compelling long-form YouTube content that grows our audience and keeps viewers engaged from start to finish.
Responsibilities
- Edit and deliver 1–3 long-form YouTube videos per week
- Craft engaging stories with strong pacing, seamless transitions, and high viewer retention
- Identify high-impact moments from raw footage to create compelling hooks and intros
- Structure videos to maximize watch time, audience engagement, and subscriber growth
- Incorporate graphics, B-roll, music, sound design, and motion elements to elevate production quality
- Collaborate with the marketing team on thumbnails, titles, and overall YouTube strategy
- Review YouTube analytics and recommend ways to improve watch time, retention, click-through rate, and channel performance
- Organize project files and maintain an efficient post-production workflow
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Film, Media, Marketing, Communications, or a related field
- Experience editing long-form YouTube videos using Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or similar software
- Strong understanding of YouTube storytelling, pacing, audience retention, and creator best practices
- Familiarity with YouTube Studio analytics is a plus
- Portfolio, demo reel, or examples of long-form editing work (personal projects welcome)
- Highly organized with excellent attention to detail
- Willing to complete a paid editing exercise as part of the interview process
