Real Estate Data Analyst
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Has an experienced understanding of data management and end-users at the asset class level, works independently and has limited oversight.
Perform a supporting role for the implementation and maintenance of business technology solutions, such as analysis, testing and training for system up-grades and enhancements (test plans, execution and documentation).
Provide technical support (troubleshooting and resolution) for all business systems issues.
Support the preparation of proposals, risk assessments and cost/benefit analysis to align technology solutions with business strategies.
Work with the asset class to evaluate existing reports (streamline, automate, eliminate), determine future reporting needs and coordinate various presentation decks.
May be a mentor to more junior associates
Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
Reporting Relationships: Asset Class Investment Professional or Senior Investment Professional
Typical Skills and Experiences:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in data management and/or real estate, finance, business, or related field.
Experience: 3 to 7 years of investment experience.
Knowledge, Abilities and Skills:
Experience with report writing and computer competencies (including database query knowledge) for data retrieval, reporting and analysis.
Strong verbal and written communication skills; and strong organizational skills.
Attention to detail/accuracy, creativity, and problem-solving skills to handle a variety of requests.
Knowledge of general commercial real estate concepts is desired.
Other criteria, including leadership skills, competencies and experiences may take precedence.
Staffing exceptions to the above must be approved by the hiring manager’s leader and HR Business Partner.

Addendum
This role will primarily be focused on:
Lead REI Website initiatives for enhancements, maintenance, and content management
Partner with IT and REI staff to define requirements
Manage the prioritization of tactical website development and defect resolution
Responsible for quarterly/annual management reporting, presentations, and ad-hoc reporting and analysis
Collaborate with stakeholders to define data, reporting, and analytics requirements
Develop dashboards and data visualizations
Additional skills:
Strong data analysis, reporting, and database/query skills
Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, SQL, and data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI)
Project management capabilities
UI and UX experience a plus
AI/Machine Learning experience a plus
Familiarity with Agile development methodology
Experience in application of data acquisition and data wrangling
Experience: 3–7 years of investment, data, or analytics experience (real estate or financial services preferred)
The hired associate must reside within 35 miles of the following location(s):
Columbus: One Nationwide Plaza, Columbus OH, 43215
Work schedule: 3 days in office, 2 days remote with flexibility to be in office 4 days.
This role does not qualify for employer sponsored work authorization. Nationwide does not participate in the STEM OPT extension program.
