This is the entry level position for many specialized units including Detective Units, Harbor Patrol, Canine Patrol, Helicopter Unit, Emergency Response Team, Motor Unit, Homicide Unit, Major Crimes Units, and many more!

Qualifications:

  • Be a US citizen OR a lawful permanent resident (green card holder) at the time of application.
  • Must be at least 20.5 years of age
  • Possess a valid driver’s license

Must have one of the following:

  • Successfully completed at least 45 college credits
  • Served in the US military for at least two years on active duty (or 730 reserve points)
  • Served at least three years in a full-duty status with a full-service police department in a US state or municipality
